Volunteer Center
Is the
Leading Community Service Resource
In McHenry County. We
foster relationships with non-profits and volunteers to strengthen and
support helping organizations.
The Volunteer Center has four core functions:

Connect any person or group to
non-profits

Build capacity of effective volunteering
·
Promote volunteerism
·
Participate in strategic plans to
mobilize volunteers to strengthen communities
Professional
Development is offered to nonprofit organizations, and volunteers to increase the
quantity, scope, and functionality of volunteers employed in McHenry
County nonprofit organizations.
McHenry
County Human Race
is a unique collaborative event benefiting
charities serving McHenry County. The
Race provides nonprofit organizations opportunities to recruit
volunteers, promote awareness of their program/mission, build
relationships and team build with volunteers and supporters, as well as
raise dollars for their organization. The Race takes place during
National Volunteer Week.
MC-CASE (McHenry
County Court Appointed Service Elective) is a volunteer
referral program designed to help individuals with court ordered
community service find meaningful places to serve.
Human Service Resource Directory
is produced each year listing the services and contact information of
helping resources in McHenry County. The directory is printed and handed
out at People In Need Forum.
